Teaching APA

Our teaching model offers a more comprehensive, practical learning approach that relates directly to Bookkeeping and Accounts Preparation. Learners are trained to prove they are competent enough to carry-out tasks in the Bookkeeping and Accounting Functions. This is what makes it Vocational and achievable in a shorter period.

Institutions decide the pace at which to teach. The shortest completion period is based on a 20 hour week of classroom time. Learners have to invest more weekly hours for assignments and exam preparation. However, there is room for a relaxed approach since the completion period allows for upto 4 examination sittings, from the time of first registration by a learner.

In this Partnership we provide the Free Digital Teaching Resources, and paid Examinations. The Institution does the Teaching and charges appropriate fees.

All institutions are welcome to the Partnership Disseminating Practical Accounts. The first ones don’t pay any fees. Just send an email to: admin@practicalaccounts.com

Please Note that institutions are free to modify the Entry Requirements.

Support

Due to differences between conventional theory and Practical Accounting, we provide extensive support to Tutors. The resources are free in a digital format.

Syllabuses for each of the modules have been compiled, to guide on what should be taught.

Guidance Notes for classroom use are compiled. They are very user-friendly and there is no need for Tutors compiling any other set of Notes. No need to copy Notes in class since they are available in book format. This saves classroom time, and they serve as a future reference for Trainees at work. They are in Textbook form and well priced.

Power Point Slides to save some of the Tutor’s time in preparing lessons. An alternative to projectors are the mobile Galaxy Beam, which projects a 50 inch image onto any wall. Slides can also be used directly by learners.

Business Scenarios with over 500 documents for practice are provided, with the expected solutions. There are plenty of practice questions on theory as well.

Trial Examinations with answers are available. Learners get a prior feel of what the examination is like.

Online discussions and classroom sessions are available via Skype, the WIZIQ virtual classroom, and others. All you require is a broadband connection.

Email support is available 24/7, all through the year.
